Acme Adds Additional Large Milling Capacity
December 10, 2006 – Des Plaines, IL - Acme Industries, Inc., a production machining company located near O'Hare Int'l Airport, recently increased horizontal CNC machining capacity by adding a new Toyoda FA1050 Horizontal Machining Center. Based on past success with Toyoda’s FA800, Acme decided to add the larger machine based on a growing demand for large milling capacity. The machine is equipped with twin 1050mm pallets and a 120-tool magazine. The work area of the machine is 63” X 55” X 45”. Other features include high-pressure coolant-thru-spindle and probing capability. The new machine adds to Acme’s arsenal of large, precision equipment to meet the demands from today’s marketplace. Serving the large engine, transmission and drive train and locomotive markets, Acme’s position as a leader in the precision machining marketplace will be bolstered by the additional capacity.
