Acme Expansion Underway
April 14, 2006, - Des Plaines, IL – Acme Industries, Inc., a production machining company located near O'Hare Int'l Airport, recently increased horizontal CNC machining capacity by adding five new Horizontal Machining Centers. The machines, an 800 mm Toyoda, two 630 mm Toyoda and two 500 mm Makino machines all feature high-pressure coolant systems, thru-the-tool coolant, broken tool sensors, adaptive control and part-probing capability. The new technology and additional capacity will enable Acme to be more competitive in an already competitive CNC machining world.
The added capacity afforded by the addition of this new equipment will allow Acme to continue on its growth path in serving both existing and new customers resulting from both improved market conditions and a return on effort of marketing and sales efforts.
This new equipment has been housed primarily in a new 35,000 s.f. facility added in January of 2006 which affords Acme with additional warehousing and storage space for raw material to achieve world class delivery performance.

Acme's new 35,000 s.f. facility opened in 2006.
