In order to stay competitive in today’s global marketplace, Acme understood that just providing cost-competitive, defect-free parts on-time was not enough. They realized that there needed to be a plant-wide change in the way they thought about manufacturing parts. In early 2006, Acme Industries embarked on a mission to create a Lean Culture in their manufacturing plants and offices. Utilizing tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Quick Change Over, Kaizen Events and Zone Teams, Acme has dedicated itself to becoming a globally competitive precision machining company.
